Just when I thought my weekends night would be another mundane evening, never knew a yes to an invitation to a private bridal shower party gave a little twist. A themed party can be very fun yet tedious. Especially when you do not have the time to do some outfit shopping for the theme and figure out that you will be wearing the same dress, twice.
Everybody looking glitzy and glamorous under the lit of heavily scented candles and captivating Arabia melody. Complete with little Aladdin lamp and sweet dates on every table. Starting with too little shy, the crowd then carried away by this ‘all ladies’ night event – an Arabian night can turn into a Bollywood night. Just like a bachelor night, the ladies were entertained by male belly dance which, later on, taught us how to move our stiff body, generously.
Giggles and selfies took places, while waiting to get our hands on henna tattoo. The food was superb – Chicken and Lamb Mandi, cooked to perfection with softest rice that melted in your mouth. I swear. Rows of colorful cakes and sweets as the dessert, sat side by side with fresh lilies and more candles. The girls are all pretty, Chanel 2.55 and Le Boy laying in every corner of the room. Young and old shows no difference tonight when everybody is clapping hands as we move to the new step acquired through short belly dance lesson. We twirl, spontaneous, dance, and twirl again. Catch our breath with minty sheesha while then I realized, mundane weekends night can be beautiful without men, sometimes.
Congratulation to the bride to be. May your life filled with laughter and beautiful things just like you had us tonight.
