Alaska has total 21 scenic DAYTRIP drive throughout its map and I’ve done 3 of it – Eklutna Lake Scenic Drive, Hatcher Pass andddd…

Matanuska Glacier Scenic Drive.

The drive distance is close to 100km/ 1 hour 20 minutes drive. But since it is so beautiful, I had to stop at almost every view point located along the highway. So, 1 Hour 20 minutes can become 3 hours? The road  to Matanuska Glacier is the same road exit to Canada. But the stops that I made along 100km drive during this drive, put Mike in terror of what is going to happen if we make a drive out to Canada. Oh well, you are not going through this kind of scenic drive everyday, do you?

This ain’t going to be wordy post, so please enjoy the view.

The day was a little bit cloudy. We kind of picked a wrong day to come up here because the view could be better when it set off against clear blue skies. It was so cloudy, I was showered by snow flakes by the time I got home.

We are planning to come back here in May or June to do the real glacier hiking. Until then, can’t wait until summer to come.
